Maybe it’s not a mystery so much as an oddity but this little guy sits on the lawn of a roadside rest in southern Ohio.
Yep. As of October 29, a penguin who is bundled up for winter, can be seen at the public rest area on Route 32 near Albany, Ohio.
I don’t know why.
Was he left intentionally? Did someone accidentally leave him behind in some hurried holiday potty break? He looks a little faded like he’s been outside for a while. How long has he kept sentinel here, watching travelers come and go without noticing his attempt to offer a warm welcome?
So many questions, so few answers. All I know is that his presence was enough to stop me in my tracks.
